JOB SUMMARY: Assists the Native American Handicraft & Jewelry Buyers with all phases of incoming and outgoing merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all phases of inventory control, using a computer based inventory system, including purchase orders, correction of invoices, receipt of goods, warehousing and the distribution of merchandise.
• Maintains an ongoing inventory of jewelry and crafts within the Distribution Center for the Handicraft Buyers.
• Responsible for the accuracy of invoices which are then forwarded to the Accounting Department for payment.
• Responsible for stocking all the Grand Canyon shops with Native American jewelry and crafts.
• Input jewelry purchase orders for all Grand Canyon gift shops. All phases of paper work including purchase orders, RTV\xe2\x80\x99s, transfers and distribution sheets.
• Help develop new style numbers for incoming orders, to avoid duplication in outlying properties.
• Act as a liaison between customer and vendor when it becomes necessary to obtain repairs on merchandise, as well as dealing with vendors\xe2\x80\x99 billing discrepancies.
• Cross training to learn various jobs in the Distribution Center.
• Keep Jewelry and Craft room clean, safe, secured and organized at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience, preferably in a Fred Harvey Trading Company location.
• Knowledge of Native American handicrafts including jewelry, weaving and pottery.
• Experience with Word and Excel software.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good communication skills to deal with staff, buyers, and vendors.
