This role will be pivotal in managing and enhancing the social media presence for the Jazz Team Store and Utah Hockey Club Team Store. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports; a knack for storytelling, and expertise in leveraging social media platforms to engage audiences and drive brand visibility.
Responsabilities:
Content Strategy and Management

  • Develop engaging content for the Jazz Team Store and Utah Hockey Club Team Stores social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and X.
  • Curate visually appealing posts that resonate with the respective fan bases and promote merchandise effectively.
  • Maintain consistency of marketing communications across multiple media channels and ensure deliverables are on time and on strategy.
  • Plan and execute promotional events (online, in-store, game day, product launches, etc.).
  • Understand and create marketing strategies based on customer and fan base insights.
Visual Content Production Oversight:
  • Work with contracted photographers to plan quarterly photoshoots, including hiring models, securing locations, organizing merchandise, managing the photoshoot timeline, and * ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Be prepared to conduct smaller photoshoots between larger scheduled photoshoots to meet ongoing content needs.
Social Media Planning and Execution:
  • Use project management tools like Asana to plan social media calendars and content schedules.
  • Schedule and publish posts across all social media channels, optimizing posting times for maximum engagement.
  • Develop and implement a video/reel strategy to create dynamic and engaging short-form content that drives engagement and brand visibility.
  • Monitor social media analytics to track performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Work with paid media consultants to hit monthly KPIs.
Community Engagement:
  • Foster community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a positive brand image through proactive interaction with followers and fans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to develop authentic storytelling moments. Email Marketing:
  • Develop and execute the email marketing strategy, creating and optimizing creative campaigns and promotions that drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Plan, create, and send 2-3 emails per week to engage customers and drive sales.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Collaboration with Ecommerce Manager and Buying Team:
  • Work closely with the Ecommerce Manager and Buying Team to align social media strategies with sales goals and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate with the Buying Team to understand merchandise calendar and arrival planning.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Embrace a culture of diversity and inclusion where team members and guests feel welcomed, valued, and heard.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Proficient on social platforms: Instagram, Facebook, and Meta Business Suite, X.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Marketo).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe software (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Available to work some nights and weekends as needed.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Photography experience preferred.
