Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control\'s Microwave Center of Excellence is seeking to hire an RF Engineering Manager who will have the opportunity to lead a team of highly competent RF engineering professionals involved in the design, development, and test of complex RF / Microwave subassemblies at our campus in Chelmsford, MA. -In this highly visible role, the RF Engineering Manager will have the opportunity to help define strategic direction of the organization.
-The manager will perform dual roles as the functional leader of a group of direct report RF / Microwave engineers and as an experienced engineer contributing to the completion of RF / Microwave design engineering tasks.
-The manager will have the opportunity to personally take on high-level RF design tasks.
-The manager will be a technical leader on development programs and IRAD projects
-The manager will have the opportunity to lead teams performing root cause analysis and failure review board activities in support product issues.
-The manager will have the opportunity to participate in design reviews, ensuring good RF Design practices and processes are in place.
-The manager will have the opportunity to mentor and coach
less experienced engineers.
-Qualified applicants are expected to be competent engineers as well as have demonstrated ability in engineering leadership.

The Locale: Chelmsford is a charming suburb of Boston located about 25 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is very close to historic Lowell Massachusetts and to Nashua, New Hampshire. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshire\'s White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England charm, great schools, shopping, and restaurants. Chelmsford and the region share an impressive past from the early days after the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth to the revolutionary war. Where can you get to from Chelmsford? Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the east without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of New Hampshire and Vermont are about 2 to 3 hours to the north.
It should be noted that Chelmsford, Massachusetts is approximately 35 miles northwest of the Boston metropolitan area and offers better access to a wide range of substantially more affordable regions in the area to live. Those regions include Northeastern and North Central Massachusetts, and Southern, New Hampshire.

Basic Qualifications:
-BS degree in Electrical / RF Engineering or related field is required.
-Two years of directly relevant experience in engineering leadership is required.
-The ability to effectively lead technical personnel in a cohesive and inspirational manner is required.
-Firm understanding of RF / Microwave design and theory is required.
-Demonstrated experience with RF engineering design within the aerospace and defense sector is required.
-Experience with the use of microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools is required.
-Effective communication and organizational skills are required.
-Candidate must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance and be able to obtain an interim secret security clearance prior to start.
Desired Skills:
-MS degree in Electrical / RF Engineering or related field is desired.
-Five years of directly relevant experience in engineering leadership is desired.
-Experience in engineering leadership in defense electronics industry is desired.
-Familiarity with related RF hardware (transceivers, antennas, exciters, repeaters, CCA\'s, PCB\'s, microelectronics) is desired.
-Experience leading successful technical projects / production programs is desired.
-Expertise with 3D electromagnetic simulation (HFSS, Microwave Office) tools is desired.
-Experience with design and manufacture of microwave electronics for severe environments is desired.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
