RIDE OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, a Ride Operator is responsible for operating rides with a focus on the overall safety and enjoyment of all guests.

Job Duties

Ride Operation

(50%)

? Responsible for the safe operation of rides while ensuring guests have a fun experience.
? Ensure ride is operating properly and safely, reporting all issues or concerns immediately to a Supervisor.

Customer Service

(25%)

? Provide exceptional customer service to all guests in a manner consistent with Balboa
Fun Zone's goal of providing a family friendly experience to all guests.

?

Miscellaneous

(25%)

? Pick up litter or debris on the boardwalk whenever you see it to maintain a safe and clean environment.

? Follow all policies, procedures and directions for BFZ staff.
? Maintain a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with all guests and BFZ staff.

Job Requirements

Education / Experience: High School Diploma, either earned or currently pursuing. Customer
Service experience, preferred.

Skills : Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to interact in a positive manner with children and adults of all ages. Must have the ability to operate a ride in a manner that is safe yet enjoyable for guests. Able to work as part of a team and communicate with team members regularly. Good verbal communication skills. Comfortable working in a fun, dynamic work environment. Ability to read, understand, and follow all policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Knowledge: Knowledge of and ability to speak a second language, preferred.

Physical: Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day with breaks provided. Ability to walk, stand, bend, or carry light objects up to 3 hours per day. Ability to work outdoors up to 8 hours per day.
