What\xe2\x80\x99s it all about? This role is within the larger Visa Direct global ecosystem team, responsible for Risk Mitigation, Controls including Controls Testing for Visa Direct including Yellow Pepper and Visa Payments Limited. Visa Direct is a high priority digital product, one of the top drivers of new revenue streams with in Visa. Originators (senders) and Recipients (beneficiaries) derive value from real-time payment use cases such as:

  • Person-to-person payments, both domestic and cross-border
  • Pay-outs to suppliers to gig economy, marketplace, sharing apps (e.g., Uber, Airbnb, Amazon)
  • Conventional disbursements (insurance, compensation claims, tax refunds)
The Visa Direct product range includes Visa Direct card, Visa Direct account, and Visa Direct wallet, allowing reach to over 99% of the world\xe2\x80\x99s banked population, and driving even more opportunities for new revenue growth. This role focuses on strengthening our Business controls framework to drive adoption of best practices for mitigating operational risk. You will help manage the Visa Direct Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) Process to support Visa Direct growth and build resiliency for scale. This process ensures that RCSA\xe2\x80\x99s are documented accurately and refreshed on a regular basis. This role focuses on Controls Design and Effectiveness testing to confirm risk is mitigated to an acceptable level. As a member of the Visa Direct\xe2\x80\x99 First line of Defense you will work with business process owners to manage the RCSA process, including identification of new risks, Control Gaps, creation of action plans to mitigate risk. You will partner with the business (1LoD), the second line of defense teams within Risk and Compliance and the Third line of defence (Internal Audit) to ensure alignment with Visa\xe2\x80\x99s operational risk best practices. What we expect of you, day to day: In this fast-growing and dynamic environment, you need to be highly creative, flexible, and responsive to ever-changing needs. The RCSA process is new to Visa Direct, so you will be a critical partner and process champion for the business owners, ensuring that risks are mitigated, and business practices are improved to support long term Visa Direct growth. This role will report to the Director of VD Business Controls. Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage and Support Risk Control Self Assessment inventory for Visa Direct, documenting new RCSA\xe2\x80\x99s and completing regular RCSA refresh with stakeholders
  • Work with stakeholders to identify risks that are currently being unmitigated and identify the controls gap and action plans to resolve
  • Develop and maintain the RCSA Controls Testing Schedule Calendar to meet annual business controls testing requirements
  • Conduct first line RCSA business controls testing to evaluate the effectiveness of controls on a regular basis
  • Communicate control testing results and provide guidance on control enhancements to the business and leadership
  • Collaborate with the business on resolving control failures, ensuring timely mitigation of risks, and verifying the effectiveness of controls
  • Develop/execute business control testing procedures and control test plans for consistency
  • Support the monthly VD Business Controls Governance forum to report on Business Controls framework, RCSA status, testing status, and other relevant items
  • Prepare clear and concise documents and presentations to report on VD Business Controls to various audiences, including leadership
  • Conduct VD Controls Framework Overview / RCSA process training as needed.
  • Review and update procedures and policies as needed
  • Engage with cross-functional teams across Visa to stay informed and ensure successful product delivery for Visa Direct. Provide support for internal/external audits and regulatory exams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the business, risk, compliance and other matrixed organizations
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • 6 years of work experience evaluation risks and executing controls
  • Detailed understanding of operational risks and effective/sustainable control implementation
  • A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
  • Experience with payments sector preferred
  • Experience organizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and ability to summarize and present results
  • Ability to manipulate data via story telling
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint

Work Hours:
Varies upon the needs of the department. Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time. Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers. U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,300.00 to 172,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
