About The Job:
Provides patient education on breast health and breast health screening. Serves as a single point of contact for women with abnormal breast imaging results and communicates with each woman to coordinate further diagnostic testing. Serves as a liaison between radiology and the primary physician/surgeon to expedite communication of reports and coordination of further services. Performs follow-up scheduling for appropriate procedures. Provides professional nursing care and support throughout the entire diagnostic phase. Refers to Breast Center Nurse Case Manager all persons receiving diagnosis of breast cancer to initiate case management.
What we are looking for:
Education
Graduate of a RN program in professional nursing.
Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa.
Experience
Five years of nursing experience with at least two years in the field of Women\'s Health or breast health imaging.
Clinic experience preferred.

Ability to be non-judgmental regarding living and health related decisions.
Ability to work with client and families with diverse opinions and diverse religious and cultural ideals and values.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and be directly accountable for practice.
Demonstrates understanding of breast health and sound clinical skills to function as a Breast nurse Navigator.
Possess qualities including time management, verbal and written communication skills, listening skills, problem solving, decision-making, priority setting, and work organization.
Demonstrates working knowledge of personal computer use and voicemail system.
Prefer experience with Microsoft Office.
Professional and courteous communication should be demonstrated with all customers.
Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
