We are hiring at UofL Health \xe2\x80\x93 South Hospital!

About Us:

UofL Health is investing in the health of Bullitt County, and the surrounding area with an expansion of UofL Health \xe2\x80\x93 Medical Center South to become an inpatient hospital \xe2\x80\x93 UofL Health \xe2\x80\x93 South Hospital. South Hospital is expected to open in early 2024 and will add approximately 100,000 square feet of new space to the existing facility. South Hospital will include a 10-bed intensive care unit, medical/surgical patient rooms, six operating rooms, new cardiac catheterization lab, expanded emergency department, centralized sterile processing area, laboratory, pharmacy, cardiopulmonary, respiratory therapy and more.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) is a competent registered nurse that will deliver nursing care to patients of varying age groups by utilizing the nursing process and nursing practice standards. The Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) uses:

• Nursing Practice Competencies to intervene to achieve safe, optimal patient and family centered care health outcomes;
• Leadership Competencies to coordinate patient care and communicate with the care team;
• Professional Profile Competencies to develop professionally as a life-long learner, and
• Practice Outcomes Competencies to evaluate care based on evidence, the UofL Health quality model, and patient safety goals.

The Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) demonstrates competency caring for complex patients and participates on the care team to improve the quality of care in the clinical area.

Area of focus:

• Cardiac Cath Lab

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree from accredited college or University

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree from accredited college or University
• Two years of Cardiovascular Laboratory experience or two years of critical care experience, preferable ICU
