Responsibilities This role provides go live support for staff as new clinical technologies are implemented. This position provides clinically focused oversight of highly used, critical technology projects. They focus on standardizing technologies appropriately for clinical processes/workflows across a broad array of audiences, locations, service lines, domains, and care settings of current and new clinical technology projects including (but not limited to) the implementation of cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, capnography, nurse call systems and vital sign machines.This role crafts clinically focused technology training plans and learning tools to support adoption in practice, improve efficiency, and increase user proficiency using standard processes and clinical workflows. They deliver course content using professional presentation skills and interactive techniques appropriate to adult learners and the mode of learning. They provide onsite support to staff during implementation and post-go live and ensure customer-service excellence in all interactions. This role collaborates on all phases of initiatives including analysis, design, development, communication, implementation, & evaluation.

  • Builds and facilitates delivery of clinical technology training content that engages learners and aligns with identified outcomes and adult learning principles.
  • Develops learning using programs like Snag-it, Camtasia, Ancile uPerform, and Elsevier LMS while integrating work into learning modules and management systems.
  • Crafts and runs staff education/training plans, their completion, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. Ensures education is embedded in new employee orientation, unit orientation and as needed for contracted/traveler staff and students.
  • Provides just-in-time training.
  • Completes 30-60-90-day post go live rounding to assess staff utilization and adoption of technology.
  • Provides status updates and pertinent information to clinical technology team.
  • Collaborates with IT, Nursing, Operations and Biomed to complete assessments on technology needs, clinical workflows, and project implementation.
  • Evaluates clinical technology RCAs, acquires and analyzes data, and calls out trends as appropriate.
  • Aligns current and future clinical technology with organization\xe2\x80\x99s policies and collaborates with SME\xe2\x80\x99s during project development to assess impact on policies.
  • Ability to travel to/from M Health Fairview locations for site visits, rounding, and other activities related to the role. Responsible for working off-shift hours and on-call shifts as scheduled.
QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelors\xe2\x80\x99 degree in nursing required, Masters preferred.
Experience
  • 7+ years clinical practice experience and 3+ years in a nursing leadership role.
  • Recent technology implementation experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience crafting materials and working with programs like Microsoft Office 365 and online learning management systems.
  • 3+ years expertise with instructional curriculum.
  • Advanced understanding of clinical care workflows, and healthcare operations.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel among various M Health sites.
  • Ability to work scheduled on call rotations and off shifts.
License/Certification
  • Current Minnesota RN license or ability to acquire prior to hire required.
  • Industry-level certifications such as AACN, HIMSS, Lean, Master Instructional Designer, Master Trainer, Virtual Training Design, Virtual Training Certificate, etc. preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years experience crafting training curriculum and programs such as Snag-it, Camtasia and Ancile uPerform
  • Experience in leading multiple technology-related or clinical implementations
