:Weekly Hours: 24Shift: 3rdStatus: Part TimeBaptist Health is looking for an energetic & qualified candidate to join our family as a Staff RN in our LaGrange Emergency Department. Benefits are available to new hires within 30 days.Job Summary:A registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient/resident (infancy to geriatrics depending on scope of care in the nursing department in which he/she works) assigned to his/her care.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He/she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.1. Assesses patient/resident clinical status2. Develops a plan of care3. Implements/oversees the implementation of the nursing care plan4. Evaluates effectiveness of care plan5. Communicates & validates patient care informationMinimum Education, Training, and Experiencexc2xb7 Active Kentucky RN License requiredxc2xb7 BCLS required

xc2xb7 BSN Required except as noted:xc2xb7 Individuals hired as a Staff RN prior to October 1, 2013 are grandfathered and exempt.xc2xb7 Individuals actively employed by the system prior to October 1, 2013 are eligible for hire as a new graduate nurse without a BSN provided they enroll within one (1) year of transfer and complete their BSN within five (5) years of hire.xc2xb7 Experienced RNs hired after October 1, 2013 who do not hold a BSN may only be hired with the approval of the CNO and/or applicable Vice President provided the RN enrolls in a BSN program within one (1) year of hire and completes their BSN within five (5) years of hire.xc2xb7 ACLS & PALS requiredBaptist is a leader with providing exceptionally high patient care.
