Job Description

:

The Registered Nurse First Assistant independently uses the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for patient requiring surgical intervention. Uses information from a variety of sources to assess, plan, implement, identify outcomes and evaluate patient\'s plan of care. The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) collaborates with the surgeon and the healthcare team to perform a safe operative procedure with an optimal outcome for the patient. This individual renders direct patient care as defined by the RNFA Standardized Procedure and maintains practice privileges through the Medical Staffing office. When not providing assisting services, the RNFA will perform circulating and/or scrub duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from nursing school with a diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing. Or
• Hired as a result of a unit transfer from Heritage:

- Graduate from nursing school with a diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing. Or * Hired as a ministry transfer:

- Currently enrolled in a BSN program with an expected graduation date within 6 months of hire. * upon hire: California Registered Nurse License.

• upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 3 years Diversified perioperative Nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years Diversified RNFA experience.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
