Internal Traveler - Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Services Inpatient

Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
Full Time, Nights. 36 hours a week.

Pay range is between $65 - $75/hr. Rates are market dependent and will be determined at the time of written offer.

Boulder Community health is seeking an Internal Traveler Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Services Inpatient who functions as a direct patient caregiver within the unit\'s care delivery system, and integrates nursing theories and solution focused therapy into patient care.

Contracts are 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• Colorado RN license in good standing.
• BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct total patient care for specific group of patients with collaboration as needed.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in performing nursing procedures and identifies the rationale underlying the nursing skills.
• Identifies patient care problems, makes interventions based upon an understanding of the biopsychosocial processes.
• Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition.
• Actively seeks participation of the patient, family, and other members of the health care team to assure continuity of patient care.
• Communicates clearly in all aspects of documentation.
• It is the expectation that all care providers document accurately and in real time, utilizing the electronic medical record within their department.
• Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission Standards.
• Is familiar with organization, department and job specific Environment of Care areas, including Life Safety, Utilities Management, Hazardous Materials Communications, Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control and Medical Equipment Failure.
• Leads/Participate in patient groups.
