As Delaware\'s only Level IV NICU, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children provides care for the most critically ill infants. Our patients require a full spectrum of complex medical and surgical management, including the state\'s only neonatal extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) center. At the heart of our neonatal care team, our NICU nurses provide care to neonates of varying diagnoses, including extreme prematurity, as well as illnesses of the respiratory, cardiac, neurologic, gastrointestinal, renal/urologic, skeletal, and metabolic systems.
The NICU currently provides care for up to 32 patients in our state-of-the-art unit. The addition of an Advanced Delivery Program provides enhanced management of neonates with known congenital anomalies at the time of delivery.
Additional Requirements:
Previous Level III-IV NICU experience strongly preferred
Minimum one year of nursing experience required
