Job Description
Perioperative services is creating a new model of pediatric recovery care. This individual will recover patients in the pediatric specific recovery area in the Same Day program. This will include pedi admits and inpatient pedi pts. Volumes are variable so other duties will include flexing to the other pediatric care areas to include pediatric, progressive care and/or PICU.
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is divided into an inpatient PACU, Same Day Surgery Program, and Pediatric Perioperative Program. In addition to routine adult and pediatric anesthesia recovery services, the PACU provides a flexible overflow resource for Adult Critical Care, Cardiology, and Pediatric Intensive Care.
Patient population: Pediatric through geriatric
Number of beds: PACU: 5, SDS: 8
RN to patient ratio: 2:1 for children, 1:1 with artificial airway, 1:2 for most other cases
Average patient census: 30-40 weekly

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years current PACU experience - Required
- Arterial Line experience - Required
- EPIC EMR experience - Required
- Travel experience - Highly preferred
- Current PALS Cert - Preferred
- Teaching Hospital experience - Preferred
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
- New Hampshire
- Compact Allowed
- NH or Compact MUST be in hand at upload
