As an RN, you will be part of a family of caregivers that is passionate about serving the local community.A caregiver in this position works varying shifts.A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Complete Emergency Department assessment data based upon patientsxe2x80x99 arrival, inclusive of psychosocial, educational and age specific needs.
• Review and document care and discharge goals with physicians, patients and families.
• Administer and document IVs and medications.
• Intervene when changes in a patientxe2x80x99s condition occur and document nursing interventions and patientxe2x80x99s responses.
• Assign and delegate appropriate patient care activities to other nursing caregivers.
• Provide appropriate care for alleged rape/sexual assault victims.
• Provide community referrals to patients and families.
• Complete mandatory education and training to maintain competencies, requirements, certification and/or licensure.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within three months of employment/transfer

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Two years of emergency room experience or relevant critical care experience

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
