Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Rapid Response team. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment. What you will do in this role:

\xc2\xb7 You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of critically ill patients.

\xc2\xb7 You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.

\xc2\xb7 You will maintain and review patients\xe2\x80\x99 records including posting tests and examination results.

\xc2\xb7 You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

What qualifications you will need:

\xc2\xb7 Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.

\xc2\xb7 Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Previous critical care and/or rapid response team experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

\xc2\xb7 American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

\xc2\xb7 Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

\xc2\xb7 Applicable national board certification required within 6 months of exam eligibility.

\xc2\xb7 Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is a 340 bed hospital. We serve Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties. We offer specialty services including surgical, oncology and thoracic surgery. We have heart, vascular, behavioral health and obstetrics services. Our obstetrics services include a NICU and maternal fetal medicine.
