Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the umbrella of Surgical Services, we are seeking an experienced Same Day Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. In this role you will demonstrate independence in planning, organizing, administering, and evaluating patient care. In addition, you will recognize and utilize your skilled nursing techniques for the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient, including pre-admission testing, post-op recovery, and discharge. • You will provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Recognize and respond to changes in a patient\xe2\x80\x99s condition.
• You will provide assessment and care of the pre-op, phase II recovery, anesthesia block, bariatric and outpatient procedural patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of normal anatomy and physiology for child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient
• Provide safe medication administration including use of venous access devises.
• Demonstrates proficiency in IV insertion.
• Assists physician with outpatient procedures using aseptic technique.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or valid Compact State License
• BLS (American Heart Association BLS Provider or American Red Cross BLS)
• One year of nursing experience in Same Day Care
