Job Description
Working Conditions
Physical and technical tasks include:
- Drive to work site may involve interstate travel
- Operate a 4x4 vehicle off road
- F ield collection of biological data
- High Travel ( up to 100% ) , including weekends
- Driving cars, trucks
- Walking on uneven ground
- Exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity, or wetness
- Use of various biological equipment, including sweep net, DBH tape , metric tape, and safety-related equipment such as hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, etc.
- Location is not limited to, but includes Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming and Utah
Field Environment :
- Frequent standing, walking, hiking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to carry 10 to 15 lbs. of equipme n t
- Handling of insect, soil, and plant material
