The base salary range for this position is $26.50 - $28.50 hourly.
The Security Supervisor will assist the Director of Safety & Security (DOSS) with maintaining a safe working environment by identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, enforcing safety regulations, developing and implementing safety policies, conducting safety training, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety standards across the company, aiming to prevent accidents and injuries. The Security Supervisor will assist the DOSS with Workmen's Compensation cases to expedite the transition back to duty ensuring the Physician Care plans are enforced. The Security Supervisor provides leadership and supports the team in achieving departmental goals and objectives. Surrogates management of the department during the Director's/Manager's absence. Conduct patrols and oversee the daily shift operations of the Security Department.
Ability to conduct investigations and document in writing the preliminary and final results.
Ability to respond to emergencies and render aid.
Display an overall knowledge of all disaster response plans.
Ability to operate all security and life safety equipment, i.e. fire alarm system, radio communication, etc.
Comprehensive knowledge of all security and safety operational procedures.
Ability to investigate safety and Work Comp-related issues and assist with follow-ups and transitioning team members back to duty enforcing their physician's guidelines until full clearance is attained.
Ability to interact with public officials such as OSHA, HFD, HPD, EMS, Department of Health, Civil Defense, etc.
Ability to assist the DOSS with overseeing the completion of safety reports, accident industrial reports, and follow-ups to ensure they are submitted in a timely fashion.
Ability to follow instructions; take direction, and adjust to various workloads and special circumstances.
Ability to promote safety awareness within the hotel and company.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred; however, 3 years experience in safety & security and leadership can be considered.
Experience:
Experience in General Industry Safety procures and standards.
Previous luxury Safety & Security Leadership experience.
Previous Five Star Safety & Security experience.
Safety environment experience.
