The Spokesman-Review, a family-owned newspaper in the Inland Northwest, is seeking a Sales Coordinator to join their team!
Position: Sales Coordinator
Status: Full-time, Non-exempt Salary: $18.50/hour.
Hours: Monday Friday, 9:30 am - 6:30 pm, 8 am 5 pm (2 available positions)
Location: Spokane, WA (on-site, SR building)
About this role: As the Sales Coordinator, your position serves primarily to coordinate the order fulfillment process of the Sales Executives you are assigned to assist. As a secondary role, the Sales Coordinator will provide service-selling to advertising customers by quoting pricing, advertising options, and other information to primarily inbound (call-in or e-mail) advertising customers. The Sales Coordinator will coordinate the order fulfillment process by processing ads, ad materials, and account information under deadlines, rates, standards, and policies into the order-entry system (ATOL). Work with sales executives and other staff to provide tearsheets and proofs, resolve billing discrepancies, memo bills, and other information as needed. Work towards cross-functionality in the order entry process for Display, Digital, Classified, and Preprints. Accurately set up or update new and current advertiser account information in the billing system including SIC code, rates, and billing information. Work with the account executives to identify and provide marketing and sales information such as Media Kits, Market Research, Company Standards & policies, Rate Information, and Special Sales Promotions and Projects to produce advertising revenue for the department and company. Maintain positive and productive relationships with our customers. Exercise cooperative behavior within team, department, and company. Assist the customer service team as needed in answering incoming calls and requests for information. Other duties as assigned.
What you ll contribute to our team: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Six months to one-year related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Intermediate to advanced level using Microsoft Access, Excel, and Microsoft Word. Entry to intermediate level using Outlook. Ability to work under deadline pressures. Ability to function in a cross-functional, self-directed team environment. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to provide in-field customer support required. Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone.
