Rantizo operators fly and apply in 30 states, providing qualified, licensed, and insured precision application services.We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an entrepeneurial Sales Development Representative who is excited to bring new tech to agriculture. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be a key part of the sales team delivering results that grow our network and our positive impact.This role will focus on qualifying inbound leads, conducting outbound prospecting, setting appointments, and building a strong sales pipeline for spray drones and agricultural software solutions. As an SDR, you will be responsible for identifying potential customers, nurturing relationships, and assisting in the initial stages of the sales cycle.It\xe2\x80\x99s an exciting time at Rantizo. This position is based in Iowa City. We will consider remote for outstanding candidates.
Responsibilities

  • Inbound Lead Qualification: Engage with inbound leads to assess needs, qualify sales opportunities, and ensure a smooth transition to the Account Executives.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Conduct research and outreach to potential customers via calls, emails, and social media to introduce Rantizo\'s products and generate interest.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule and coordinate meetings for the sales team with prospective clients, including farm operators, agronomists, and agricultural service providers.
  • Pipeline Development: Actively build and maintain a robust pipeline by following up on various lead sources and managing leads in the CRM.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of both spray drone technology and Rantizo\xe2\x80\x99s software and services to effectively communicate value propositions and address customer questions
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to align strategies, share insights on lead quality, and provide feedback to improve outreach efforts.
  • Reporting: Track and report on lead generation metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline status.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, agriculture, or a related field OR 3-4 years relevant work experience
  • 1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in sales, customer service, or a related role, ideally in agriculture, technology, or drone services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships and convey technical information effectively.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) and other sales enablement software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Experience in Crop Protection industry strongly preferred\xe2\x80\x94agronomist, drone or aerial application, familiarity with product label requirements and safe application techniques
  • Passion for agriculture- direct experience with growers and retailers preferred
