Job Description

We are seeking someone to work with a 17-year old male EVERY OTHER SATURDAY from 9am to 3pm or 10am to 4pm (your choice).

This role can be filled in one of two ways:

- By a DHW-approved Behavioral Intervention Provider - pay is $45/hour and you would bill through Medicaid - must meet DHW qualification criteria and be approved

- By a Community Support Worker (CSW) - pay is $20-$25/hour and you would be paid primarily through the child's Family Direct Services budget

You would be working with a male client who has goals to build functional skills, independence, and to reduce maladaptive behaviors. He loves going for walks around our neighborhood, putting puzzles together, and doing crafts. (You would be helping his parents to have dedicated time to get home chores done and to spend time with a younger sibling.) The job location is in South Meridian and a clean driving record is needed (this kiddo is also soothed by car rides and you would take him out in a family vehicle).

You may be a good fit if:

- You can commit to at least 1 year of employment and be highly dependable.

- You have previous experience with high-needs individuals, behavioral intervention, and/or Autism.

- You are a resilient, patient, consistent, and caring person.

- You are willing to complete a DHW background check and complete several hours of PAID training ahead of starting in this role (some of it will be done remotely, some will be on-site on a weekday).

This kiddo loves to laugh and enjoys engagement with trusted adults. On average, team members stay between 2 and 3 years and remain connected to the family even after they move on to other jobs.

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
