Job Description

We are assisting our client, a K-12 school, who is seeking a school psychologist for the school year. This School Psychologist job will cover two districts in the area. The ideal candidate would strive to help maximize students educational attainment and environmental adjustment by providing instructional, behavioral support and crisis intervention to students.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $43 - $48 per hour based on experience, benefit level and traveler status.

Responsibilities

• Consult with parents, teachers, and other appropriate staff regarding the child\'s program and any adaptations/materials
• needed to facilitate improved performance in the educational setting or at home.
• Ability to instruct new staff in the utilization of positive behavior supports and knowledge of evidence-based strategies and
• interventions.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with positive behavior support.
• Ability to assist the Principal and/or Special Education Director in leading the PBIS, Child Study, PBSP, and/or IEP processes.

Qualifications

• Previous school psychology work experience in a public school setting or other related agency experience preferred.
• Specialist Degree in School Psychology
• State of Michigan certification
• Ability to work effectively with clients and to work cooperatively with others
