School Social Worker: 2023-2024 School Year

Position Overview:

We have a full-time Elementary School Social Worker opening with our wonderful school partners in Harvey! This K-4th grade focused position will be supporting 30 students with IEP\xe2\x80\x99s. This Social Worker will act as a resource to General Education students and will occasionally provide push in SEL services. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support (whole group, small group, 1:1) to identified students kindergarten through 5th grade
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success of students
• Advocate for the wellbeing of students (social/emotional/academic)
• Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs
• Provide push in services as needed
• Run a social group in classrooms weekly
• Facilitate IEP meetings
• Create and maintain interventions in order to understand effectiveness of IEPs
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Master\xe2\x80\x99s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
• LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois
• Previous experience in a K-12 setting preferred
