The Chr. Hansen Human Health (HH) business unit is selling probiotic solutions to non-food applications such as dietary supplements. The Global Scientific Advisory team in the HH Commercial Development department located in Denmark is now looking for a Scientific Advisor for North America, who will be based in the US or Canada. The advisor will support across our categories and health areas including gut, immune, infant, children\'s and women\'s health, as well as new and emerging health areas.

Chr. Hansen invests heavily into research and is a world leader in probiotic health. We want to make science relevant and accessible, and our team of scientific advisors is key in this ambition.

As a scientific advisor, you will support the Chr. Hansen HH growth agenda by working together with internal and external stakeholders to create market and marketing opportunities based on existing and new scientific evidence. You will work closely with strategic accounts to support their business needs, presenting clinical documentation and answering scientific questions in customer meetings. Part of your job will be to present our science also in other forums, for example webinars, trade shows and conferences, and to support the regional Regulatory team with scientific input. You will need to be available for business trips in the US and Canada as well as internationally.

We are looking for candidates who have a higher education, preferably a PhD degree, within a relevant area, for example microbiology, medicine, biomedicine, nutrition, or chemistry. In addition to a solid scientific background, good written and verbal communication skills in English are important. Chr. Hansen is a global company, and you will be part of the Global Scientific Advisory team, reporting to Head of Global Scientific Advisors in Hoersholm, Denmark.

A good commercial understanding (preferably from industry experience), global professional experience, as well as an established academic network in North America, will be considered additional merits.
