POSITION DESCRIPTION
Currently, HGL has a position open for a Scientist III / Transportation & Disposal Coordinator (T&D Coordinator) for low-level radioactive material and other waste streams associated with the soil remediation work performed at the St. Louis Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) Project Sites in St. Louis, Missouri. Qualifications could include current OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour, annual 8-hour refresher, Hazardous Waste Management and Shipping for Environmental Professionals Training, RCRA Hazardous/Toxic Waste Management Training, and possession of a DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation Certificate (or the ability to obtain required certification). Good physical health and the ability to lift 30 pounds are required for performance of field tasks. The ability to work in adverse weather and site conditions, and knowledge of laws, EPA regulations, DOT regulations and OSHA regulations, are also required.
