Job Overview The Santaland Sales Associate is an ambassador of Santa Claus charged with helping to spread cheer and goodwill among our visiting Santaland guests. Sales Associates provide superior customer service to all register guests within the Santaland attraction. Essential Functions

• Greet, interact and engage with visitors and guests at register while completing purchases & transactions
• Operate registers and handle cash
• Possess knowledge of products and have ability to upsell
• Perform other duties as needed
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality

Qualifications and Competencies Qualifications Education/Experience:

• Experience working with children preferred

• Register and cash handling experience preferred

• Customer service experience required

• Acting experience preferred

Communication Skills:

• Knowledge of a second language helpful

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to effectively communicate with and direct children

Mathematical Skills:

• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Reasoning Ability:

• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment

• Present a professional image consistent with Macy's brand values

Physical Demands:

• May involve prolonged standing and walking

Work Hours: Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours which may include day, evening, weekends and/or holidays or sales events depending on business needs This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
