Job Description

Do you have experience as a security officer or other law enforcement? Dimond Center in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking multiple people to add to our team. Our officers are provided extensive training and will gain their \xe2\x80\x9cGuard Card\xe2\x80\x9d with the State of Alaska. DC officers are hands-on, unarmed security guards who work as a team to ensure the safety of mall patrons, and tenants. This position is full-time, year-round, starting at $41,600 per year, not including overtime. Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and continued random throughout employment, including Marijuana.
• Must pass a federal background check for criminal history.
• Must meet all State requirements to possess Alaska State Guard license and must be able to obtain State of Alaska Guard license.
• Must possess a valid Alaska driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and provide a copy of his/her driving record (cannot be required to carry or currently carrying any type of high-risk insurance).
• Must have a high school diploma or GED, and at least 5 years of verifiable employment.
• Must have a minimum of one-year proven experience in security, law enforcement, or related field.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a verbal and written manner for the purpose of public interaction and report writing to include ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, to include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be in and maintain good physical and mental condition. Must maintain proper hygiene and professional uniform appearance standards.
• Attend all training courses during the course of employment.
• Have the ability to conduct foot patrols of up to 15 miles per day and able to provide exterior driven patrols.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

The substances which may be tested include, but are not limited to, alcohol and controlled substances, including amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), and marijuana.
