Security Officer Security
Job Description
Functioning within the Health System\xe2\x80\x99s mission, values, objectives, and policies and procedures, the Security Officer provides protection for employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, buildings, and property (both hospital and personal). Enforces hospital rules using diplomacy and tact, ensuring good public relations.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of Ohio Peace Officers training arerequired.
A Law Enforcement degree is preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Must be a full-time Allen County Deputy Sheriff, full-time Lima City Police Officer, Allen County Special Deputy, or Lima City Auxiliary Officer.
Weapons certification is necessary.
Experience: Must have two years of experience as a policeman, detective, or equivalent. . Must have a clear police record and be bondable
Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills and a high degree of professionalism is required. Basic computer knowledge is also necessary
