Security Trainer
:
Security Trainer may fulfill a role comparable to that of a Security Sargent. The Security Trainer will train new and current staff or ensure that required/remedial training is completed, assess their work performance and provide on-the-job guidance and training. The Trainer will be responsible to train Officers at both locations Binions Gambling Hall & Hotel and Four Queens Hotel & Casino.
The Trainer is responsible for implementing standardized training programs and briefing topics that Security Officers must take to be qualified for their job. The duties involve instructing classes, training on various equipment authorized by the Director of Security, assessing Officer performance and maintaining a database of records of Officers training and qualifications.
The trainer will also work in the capacity of a member of the department as needed to assist during shortages, special events and holidays during the course of the year.

Qualifications
? 3-5 years Supervisor and or Training experience in a security, law enforcement, or military field is preferred.
? Minimum 21 years of age and able to pass drug and background.
? Strong understanding of all Nevada gaming, NRS, Criminal and Civil laws.
? Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and developing staff to perform at high levels and holding team accountable for achieving business goals and objectives.
? Demonstrate the ability to plan, organize work and train Security Officers in the performance of their duties.
? Must be able to carry a firearm and pass all department qualifications.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
The ability to obtain and maintain the following:
? Valid Drivers License
? Valid Concealed Weapons Permit
? Nevada Gaming Registration and Alcohol Awareness card
? Baton Certification
? OC Certification
? Taser Certification
? Firearms Certification
? Defensive Tactics Certification
? Handcuffing Certification
? Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification



Job Duties
? Implement training programs yearly, monthly and weekly which includes but not limited to Security Academy, Firearms, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, Baton, O.C. Spray, Taser, Use of Force and Briefing Training.
? Conduct on the job training.
? Trainer will document and keep training records up to date.
? Must be able to work and train on all three (3) shifts.
? Must have open availability and understand, that days off could change due to training and department needs.

Working Conditions:
Must have the ability to move in and out of every area in the hotel/casino. Physical requirements require bending, standing, and stooping. May be exposed to extreme heat, cold and smoke.
