PAY RANTE: $70,000-$80,000 AnnuallyROLE DESCRIPTION
Focus Property Group is a private real estate investment and development firm. Focus also owns and operates various businesses and is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team. The Senior Accountant will be focused on month-end close for each silo of our portfolio. The ideal candidate will be an expert in QuickBooks Online, with a background in Real Estate property accounting and will execute the accounting activities of the organization.WHAT THE TEAM NEEDS FROM YOU

• Full-cycle accounting \xe2\x80\x93 Executes the day-to-day workflow of the department.
• Monthly close for various entities.
• Support with balance sheet accounts reconciliation.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Support with loan amortization and loan balance reconciliation.
• GAAP financial reporting and consolidated financial reporting.
• Sales Tax reconciliation and submittal.
• Assist with treasury functions.
• Assist with general ledger management.
• Review financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts.
• Analyze financial data and provide financial recommendations.
• Ensure financial records comply with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with all departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.
• Gather tax documents for the tax preparer.
• Support outsourced financial professionals in their duties as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance or accounting highly preferred; will consider equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 10+ years of Accounting experience, CPA a plus
• Real Estate property accounting background required.
• 3+ years of QuickBooks Online experience required.
• AppFolio experience a plus.
• Knowledge of private equity and distributions.
• Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
• Understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on a team and independently.
