POSITION AVAILABLE NACOLG - Senior Accountant Northwest Alabama Council of Local Governments (NACOLG) is seeking a Senior Accountant. This position performs a full array of accounting activities for the Financial Services Department. The Senior Accountant will provide assistance to program directors on issues relating to finance, budgets, grants, and contract management. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports and documents for various NACOLG programs. They will coordinate and ensure the timely and compliant operation of payroll and benefits functions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors degree in accounting from an accredited college or university. *College coursework in non-profit governmental accounting is preferred. *Five years of related work experience in business accounting or auditing with at least four years of experience in not-for-profit or governmental accounting. *Current and valid driver license *Ability to be bonded, work non-standard hours, travel as required *Will be required to pass drug screen, background checks, MVR Starting salary: $70,740.80 - $75,254.40 Full-time with excellent benefits.
