Role Description:As a member of the US Commercial Finance team, this position reports directly to the US Controller. The individual is responsible for the accurate execution of Gross to Net (GTN) accounting for US Operations. The individual takes ownership of day-to-day management of a business unitxe2x80x99s rebate accounting estimates and reserves. The individual will support the implementation of GTN automated solutions. The individual is able to interact with all levels of the business ranging from executive to customer. The individual is aligned with all Zoetis core competencies and values.Responsibilities:xc2xb7 Develop value added analyses to provide timely observations regarding GTN rates, adjustments and trends. Support the team in moving towards more value-added analyses as the required calculations become more automated.xc2xb7 Estimate precise GTN rates for a business unit, considering non-recurring and new programs to help support the Companyxe2x80x99s latest monthly and quarterly estimates.xc2xb7 Continue to enhance GTN SOX controls to increase efficiency by leveraging SOX compliance systems and reports during automation initiatives.xc2xb7 Partner with Net Revenue Management, Commercial, and Marketing teams to analyze and influence commercial contract proposals and incentives that may have revenue recognition implicationsxc2xb7 Proactively deliver on all business unit reporting requirements for GTN.xc2xb7 Prepares monthly GTN revenue and liability results and performs account reconciliations.xc2xb7 Provides ad-hoc accounting support to the controllerxe2x80x99s team outside of GTNxc2xb7 Ensures timely and accurate reporting in accordance US GAAP accounting standards, Zoetis policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.xc2xb7 Proactive advocate for corporate accounting & compliance responsibilities.xc2xb7 Responsible for supporting the closing process on a quarterly basis and supports audit reviews by the external auditors.xc2xb7 Prepares financial reporting for the BU and provides ongoing analysis of risks and opportunities, as well as ad-hoc analysis.xc2xb7 Ensures adequate systems and procedures are in place to provide controls, safeguarding of assets and the efficient execution of financial activities.xc2xb7 Ensures the timely reporting of all key GTN financial information to the business and corporate in compliance with the companyxe2x80x99s requirements and standards.xc2xb7 Is an active member of the Finance community ensuring that the complex factors behind the analysis of the business are understood, and that the appropriate financial analysis, management analysis is provided to the leadership team proactively.Education:xc2xb7 University degree in accounting (preferred) or financexc2xb7 Certified public accountant or equivalent (chartered accountant) and/or MBA preferredExperience:xc2xb7 Minimum three years of experience in Accounting or Finance rolesxc2xb7 Gross to Net accounting experience is preferredxc2xb7 Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is preferredxc2xb7 Knowledge of multi-national financial reporting requirementsxc2xb7 Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems xe2x80x93 SAPxc2xb7 Large public accounting firm experience preferredxc2xb7 Familiarity with Zoetisxe2x80x99 Accounting Policies and systems is a plusxc2xb7 Understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)Skills:xc2xb7 Strong analytical background with strategic thinking capabilities and attention to detailxc2xb7 Solid understanding of accounting, internal controls, financial systems and processesxc2xb7 Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in writingxc2xb7 Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environmentxc2xb7 Ability to multi-task, consistently meeting deadlines on multiple projects and activitiesxc2xb7 Work effectively in a team environment and in building collaborative relationships with peers and with other stakeholdersxc2xb7 Strong ability to work under pressurexc2xb7 Strong ability to organize, and prioritize tasks with a good sense of time managementxc2xb7 Advanced knowledge of Excel requiredFull timeRegularColleagueAny unsolicited resumes sent to Zoetis from a third party, such as an Agency recruiter, including unsolicited resumes sent to a Zoetis mailing address, fax machine or email address, directly to Zoetis employees, or to Zoetis resume database will be considered Zoetis property.
