Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Azure Imaging Engineer. This position will be located in Washington, D.C. and fully remote. Responsibilities:

• Build, test, support desktop and server image(s)/templates.
• Support the infrastructure for image/template deployment, and providing updates to physical endpoints.
• Automate and test computer image processes. (e.g. remote electronic upgrading of server and desktop images)
• Define installation and configuration settings for publishing related software, e.g., appropriate Adobe and Microsoft settings for software in VDI, and appropriate image types and settings used in publications.
• Maintain and update VDI golden images for desktop and applications
• Coordinate with VDI and desktop image teams to deploy updated versions of customer
• application interfaces and components
• Check the presence and version of software on specific devices and systems as well as monitor the use of licensed software, including license metering
• Monitor patch activity on a daily basis, providing weekly Patch Management Reports
• Develop and maintain automated tools and monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance and currency with patch management.
• Schedule software distribution to support time-critical upgrades, to deploy urgent patches, and to maintain current projects while minimizing the disruption to authorized users.
• Utilize software distribution systems that effectively and efficiently distribute new software to all systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
• Deep knowledge of the virtualization and storage and/or cloud markets as well as design capabilities
• 3 to 5 years experience with Azure
• Azure/VDI Architecture experience
• Experience with Azure DaaS or similar tools
• Comparable experience with the following technologies:
• ProfileUnity / FlexApp
• VCDX (VMware Certified Design Expert), with experience in Data Center virtualization and cloud computing
• 4+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working within Hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI)
• 4+ Windows 10 and Redhat Linux image creation , management, and testing
• 2+ Experience with VMWare, Acropolis Hyper Visor (AHV) -\xe2\x80\x9cKVM\xe2\x80\x9d and Hyper-V tools and VMWare Update Manager
• Patch management experience in Microsoft and Linux operating systems
• Have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Must be able to work independently towards design, implement, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers
• Have a deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
• Have a strong desire for automation
• Must possess professional-level certifications in one or more technology related vendor solutions such as Nutanix, Veritas, EMC Corporation, NetApp, or Tivoli

Clearance required: Ability to obtain/maintain a public trust

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an \xe2\x80\x9cat-will position\xe2\x80\x9d and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors. Posted Salary Range: USD $165,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
