Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Business System Analyst to join the Business System Analysis Center of Excellence team in the Business Technology (BT) organization to support our Supply Chain and Logistics optimization projects.The Senior Business System Analyst (Senior BSA) will play a vital role in development organization, shaping strategy for fulfilling business requirements in entrusted area, proposing approach to known and newly discovered problems and building strategies for fast and agile problem resolution with new or existing features. On business side Senior BSA is responsible for understanding processes, goals and objectives, while on technical side - embraces deep understanding of system landscape, including technical components, data, integrations and internal/external dependences. This wide scope of insight concentrated within single role enables Senior BSA to extremely efficiently propose solutions to business problems as well as strategies of approaching problem resolution and overcoming constraints. Senior BSA supports delivery teams, managers, product owners and business stakeholders in discovering optimal direction of efforts to reach business goals with right use of data and system support.Essential Functions:
  • Work with Business Analysts, Product Owner and other stakeholders on understanding and documenting project requirements, goals and strategy
  • Propose issue resolution approach enabling agile execution and iterative delivery, drive preparation of backlogs accordingly
  • Translate business requirements and strategy into technical specifications and create deliverables in different phases of the project lifecycle by decomposing functionality / use cases.
  • Identify and evaluate the impact of change requests within the business application and all upstream/downstream systems.
  • Maintain contacts with the data provider\'s IT support team to report any outage or data discrepancy.
  • Liaise with onsite and offsite development teams on a daily basis to monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
  • Plan and lead approach for validation of the system - lead teams and stakeholders during various stages of verification/validation (functional testing, UAT, etc.)
  • Provides assessment and recommendations regarding direction and scope of changes/new features required for Bunge systems (of any scale)
  • Leads understanding of system/data constraints and opportunities in context of product roadmap.
  • Takes responsibility for assuring completeness of requirements and accuracy of delivered solution.
  • Identifies problem resolution for new and existing business and system scenarios, both on technical and business process level
  • Embraces data scope and structure for entrusted system/area to provide fast and accurate feedback on abilities or constraints regarding use of existing data or acquiring new sources
  • Establish and document standards and best practices in entrusted area, guide teams and stakeholders on using those.
  • Develops plans within the Department. Is recognized as an expert in own area within the organization.
  • Accountable for the results of a large and/or moderately complex project(s). Provides input on resource planning and policy development.
  • Applies acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent. Identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems; Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements. Takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Responsible for managing own work within scope of entrusted business/system area
  • Leading approach to business problem resolution with consideration of technical and organizational environment
  • Leading the process of establishing requirements, creation of the execution strategy and
  • Guides team and business on solution strategy and opportunities
  • Managing work of teams, BSAs or vendors in entrusted scope/area
  • Establishing standards and approach in scope of BSA expertise
  • Manages projects/processes working independently with limited supervision. AND/OR provides leadership to professionals and/or support staff. Follow specific functional policy and broad procedure allowing the choice of tatics to reach the establish goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree with 6 - 10 years of position related experience, or equivalent combo of education and experience level. Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge (know as reference) of related disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience in supply chain and logistics optimization project
  • Experience with SDLC and iterative software development approach (e.g. Scrum)
  • Experience in building backlogs and driving iterative/agile value delivery
  • Experience in data analysis, data model analysis and system impact analysis
  • Experience in setting-up standards and/or guidelines for analysis discipline within IT projects
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-based environments along with some QA expertise
  • Working experience with industry standard modeling notations and tools (e.g., UML, BPMN, Archimate, ERD)
  • Understanding of concepts of relational databases, ETL and data integration
  • Experience with multiple projects involving data integration/interfaces (optional)
  • Ability to build backlogs and plan iterative delivery of features to the business.
  • Ability to define, document and provide guidance on standards and best practices in BSA area
  • Establish priorities with clear goals and responsibilities to achieve a high level of performance.
  • Communicate and explain business problems as well as technical subjects to various audience
  • Ability to work independently, develop business knowledge and drive issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
  • Well acquainted with Agile methodologies, incremental value delivery and MVP concept
  • Certification/trainings from area of system and/or business notation (e.g. UML/BPMN) as well as documentation standards
  • Basic SQL skills
