What You Will Do:

You will have the ultimate responsibility to help implement customized care plans that encompass solutions to nurture the whole person in mind, body and spirit. You will be providing impeccable care to clients by assisting in scheduled activities as well as overall care management. You will treat your clients like family, going above and beyond to enhance their quality of life.The Senior Care Specialist is a senior level caregiver who is responsible for providing personal attendant services for TheKey clients in the clients\xe2\x80\x99 home, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc. Services provided are dependent upon the clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs and may be assigned and changed as th clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs change. The Senior Care Specialist will additionally be responsible for providing care for \xe2\x80\x9cfast start\xe2\x80\x9d clients, assisting with the development of care plans, and training caregivers on client care company policies and initiatives, equipment, etc. Responsibilities:
  • Performing non-medical personal attendant services, including engaging the client in social,
physical and mental activities, as well as monitoring the client\xe2\x80\x99s safety and wellbeing inside and
outside the residence.
  • Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as supervising, feeding, and/or
dressing the client, and the reminder of time on instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), such
as meal preparation for the client, driving, light housework for the client, and medication
reminders.
  • Incorporating relevant aspects of TheKey Balanced Care Method TM into the care of the client,
such as playing board games, visiting the local senior center, or engaging in other activities
  • Following the client\xe2\x80\x99s Plan of Care and maintaining a detailed record of services provided and any
changes in client condition.
  • Reporting accurate written care notes via electronic and/or other company-sanctioned methods
depending upon Client Care Manager direction.
  • Alerting the Client Care Manager or Staffing Manager about changes in client condition or
incidents occurring during the shift.
  • Accurately reporting all working time, including accurate start and end times for each shift,
breaks, training and work-related travel, and any other work performed away from the home of
the client, and properly utilizing TheKey operative timekeeping system(s).
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures set forth in the Caregiver Employment Agreement and the
Employee Policy Manual.
  • Provide care for \xe2\x80\x9cfast start\xe2\x80\x9d clients as needed.
  • Assist with developing an appropriate care plan for new clients based on interactions and tasks
during the initial shift.
  • Assist with training and introducing caregivers to clients.
  • Provide administrative staff with feedback, necessary to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide training for new and existing caregivers that relates specifically to clients, disease
processes, equipment, etc.
  • Participate in appropriate meetings related to client care and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with other team members, as needed, when resolving client/caregiver issues
  • Be flexible to handle other assignments as may be required
  • Must successfully complete training for this role and demonstrate proficiency of the material
learned
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your Supervisor.
Qualifications:

\xe2\x97\x8f High School Diploma or GED Required
\xe2\x97\x8f CNA, HHA, PCA, HCA, or CHHA Required
\xe2\x97\x8f 3+ years of experience in the Home Care setting
\xe2\x97\x8f Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly, appropriately and
professionally to clients and co-workers
\xe2\x97\x8f Strong interpersonal skills and is professional in interacting with clients and coworkers
\xe2\x97\x8f Expertise problem solving skills \xe2\x80\x93 identifying root causes, customer needs and providing solutions
quickly and efficiently in real time
\xe2\x97\x8f Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
\xe2\x97\x8f Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to caring for clients
\xe2\x97\x8f Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality
\xe2\x97\x8f Demonstrated ability in using computer applications, which includes keyboard and navigation
skills and learning new computer programs
\xe2\x97\x8f Positive attitude, reliable with good attendance and punctuality, team spirit, and commitment to
the job
\xe2\x97\x8f Previous Leadership Experience Preferred
\xe2\x97\x8f Fully vaccinated is defined as: \xe2\x80\x9c2 weeks have passed since your second dose in a 2-dose series,
such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson
& Johnson\xe2\x80\x99s vaccine.\xe2\x80\x9d Those eligible to receive the booster must receive the booster to be
considered fully vaccinated, and those not yet eligible will be required to obtain the booster once
eligible (6 months post last dose)
\xe2\x97\x8f Successful completion of all specific state requirements.
\xe2\x97\x8f Current driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and proof of insurance if driving clients.
\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions, and document timely and accurately in
system.
\xe2\x97\x8f Must have negative TB test and current auto insurance
\xe2\x97\x8f Prefer CPR, and First Aid Certification
Physical Requirements:
\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to reliably travel to client homes and office location(s).
\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to safely perform client transfers with weight bearing requirements contingent upon client
condition and needs.
