Job Type: Full Time

Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Responsible for the development, implementation and testing of data extraction, transformation and load programs for large scale database projects and ensuring best practices for high performance, high scalability and high availability. Participate in system design discussions with application architects, developers and provide inputs for improving database performance and scalability. Implement complex machine learning models in Oracle and automate them using the job scheduler. Work on ad hoc reporting tasks and generate reports based on the business requirements by writing complex queries and automating them to increase productivity. Develop ETL processes to load incoming data files, transform the data based on the business requirements and provide the universe data in the form of database tables or data extracts to downstream applications. Convert slow running legacy ETL processes that are developed in Unix shell scripts that internally execute commands using sqlplus for oracle procedures and db links to connect to external databases and replace with traditional ETL tools to improve performance and availability of large volumes of data. Develop PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and shell scripts to load and transform the data. Enhance and automate the system configuration and event processing components to ensure optimum performance. Actively monitor batch jobs and triage issues with the prod support team to identify and fix database issues. Update task status on-time and check-in the code in DevOps code repositories and review the code with peer developers and leads. Must be deadline focused, detail oriented, well organized, and self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time efficiently.

Requirements: Must have a Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and two years of experience in job offered or two years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained.

Experience must include one year of experience in the following:

1) Database Development: Oracle and Netezza
2) Oracle PL/SQL
3) ETL SqlLoader, nzload
4) Data Warehouse Development
5) Shell Scripting
6) Job Schedulers: Crontab and IBM Workload Scheduler
7) Code Repository: TFS and GIT
8) Querying tools: Toad, Sql Developer, and WinSql
9) File Transfer: WinSCP and Core FTP
Must be available to work at various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.S.
