Cadence, the Reverb design system, empowers our designers and developers to deliver high-quality, consistent, and accessible features in our Web product and native apps. We are looking for an expert design technologist (also often styled as UI Engineer) to help grow and develop Cadence and our library of tools, components, and guidelines.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Product Design Manager. For candidates located in NYC, San Jose, San Francisco, or Seattle, please visit for compensation information. For candidates in all other eligible locations, the base salary range will be $114,000 - $148,000 USD per year.
A successful Design Technologist at Reverb is:
Bilingual: can facilitate teamwork, understanding, and shared concerns between designers & engineers. Seeks to deepen the technical proficiencies of all product team members through shared language and translation of basic technical & design concepts.
Forward-thinking: can help designers see technical solutions to design problems, and help engineers understand the power of design. Ensures technical feasibility & design fidelity.
Multidisciplinary: skilled at design, front-end development, and manifesting the former through the latter. Can align a React component with a Figma equivalent to ease the handoff between designers & developers.
Systems-centric: responsible for building solutions that are informed by & feedback into our existing ecosystems (codebase & visual design resources).
