The Civilian Health Solutions Operation has an opening for a Sr DevOps Engineer to support a large healthcare contract.
The DevOps engineer will work under the supervision of the DevOps Manager and he will be a key member of Scrum team working in Agile Safe and DevSecOps culture. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and automate all AWS Cloud infrastructure to host a web application this is build using WebSphere Portal, Java, Python, AWS Containers, Angular, Node.js technologies and AWS native services.
Responsibilities:
The DevSecOps engineer is responsible for maintaining all Cloud non-production and production environments.
The work will include implementation, configuration, coordination, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring, and the development of system procedures.
They are responsible for all aspects of AWS VPC administration, including networks, applications, databases, and telecommunications.
Perform basic systems security administration functions such as creating user profiles and accounts
Monitoring and managing system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and tape backup systems
Performing system backups and recovery procedures
Writing or modifying basic scripts to resolve performance problems
Maintaining system documentation and logs
Assisting in troubleshooting and diagnosing production problems
Maintaining network and managed services security authentication
Administering secure links with public key encryption, anti-virus, and user authentication and providing monitoring and primary response and intervention for AWS-related security incidents and violations.
Support security reviews and ACT as required.
Collaborate with ISSO, CMS, and the CCSQ contractors to ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and OMB guidelines and standards, CMS security policies, and IT security procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments and provide necessary Tier 1 support.
Required Skills:
Excellent knowledge of AWS Infrastructure, Services, Configuration and automation
Excellent knowledge of AWS Container and Serverless technologies
This individual should have worked with several containerization tools such as, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
Knowledge of systems security administration functions such as creating user profiles and accounts
Ability to Monitor and manage system resources and application performance
This individual should have experience in deploying RedHat operating system patches using AWS automation tools such as AWS System Manager Automation documents.
This individual should have experience in implementing CICD (Continuous integration Continuous deployment) tools.
This individual should have worked with several source control management tools such as, GitHub, Git, Bitbucket, GitLab, Subversion, Mercurial etc.
This individual should have worked with several continuous integration tools such as, Jenkins, Bamboo,Travis CI, CruiseControl etc.
This individual should have worked with several monitoring tools such as, New relic, Kibana, Elasticsearch, Nagios, Dynatrace etc.
This individual should have worked with several repository management tools such as, Nexus, Npm, Docker Hub, Artifactory etc.
This individual should have worked with several logging tools such as, Splunk, Logstash etc.
This individual should have worked with several building tools such as, Maven, Gradle, ANT, Grunt etc.
This individual should have worked with several testing tools such as Soap UI/ready API, Jmeter, Selenium, Cucumber etc.
This individual should have worked with several collaboration tools such as, Jira, Slack etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments and provide necessary Tier 1 support.

Ability to independently, quickly, and efficiently identify and solve technical problems
Ability to combine strong functional, conceptual and technical knowledge with a strong understanding of customer requirements to offer solutions in a very practical, timely, and efficient manner
Ability to interact positively and communicate appropriately with team members, customers, and management
Adept with RedHat Operating System, AWS and JBOSS.
This individual should have supported applications on AWS cloud and should be familiar with AWS services such as, Elastic Load Balancers, S3, Elastic File Share, EC2, VPC etc.
Education/Experience Level:
7+ years of Application Development and/or Infrastructure Administration
4 to 6 years of experience as a system administrator in AWS environment
2 to 3 years of experience with DevOps tools.
2 to 3 years of experience with supporting applications on AWS.
Experience working on an Agile Project
Experience working in large projects interacting with several teams within the project
Bachelors degree in Technical field. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Desired Skills & Experience:
AWS certifications, DevOps certifications
All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered.
Pay Range: Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00
