SUMMARY The Sr EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to local, state, and federal health and safety regulations to maintain legal and regulatory compliance while minimizing environmental impact. The applicant must identify potential hazards in the manufacturing processes and implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring the safety of workers and the environment. \xc2\xa0 \xc2\xa0 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Negotiate and implement permits to ensure regulatory compliance with various governmental agencies such as the local Sanitation District; Air Pollution Control District; Public Health Department;\xc2\xa0 Certified Unified Program Agency (Fire Department) including formal Risk Management Plan and Tiered Permitting for Hazardous Waste Treatment; and the California State Resources Water Control Board, California Department of Taxes & Fees Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, State of California Department of Industrial Relations. Developing, scheduling, and/or conducting EHS-related trainings including Hazardous Waste/ Hazardous Material Management, D.O.T./ I.A.T.A. Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Shipping, Laser/Radiation Safety, Hazard Communication, Bloodborne Pathogens, Emergency Response Team, Safety Committee, COVID Safety, Safe work habits/workplace, Forklift Operations for Hazardous Waste/Radiation and New Employee Orientation. Track and ensure compliance with EHS related regulations (i.e., health and safety, fire, and\xc2\xa0 building codes, standards, and regulations) and take appropriate action to comply with requirements. Develop and maintain a compliance calendar to confirm all compliance activity timelines are met, to include environmental, health and safety permits and permit reporting requirements. Conduct and/or facilitate investigation of on the job accidents, incidents, and injuries. Assist in determining root cause, appropriate corrective action, and follow up to ensure implementation of corrective action to prevent recurrences. Coordinate with facilities and contractors, to review the necessary project permits, participate in construction meetings, and review submittals to the city for different tool installations for the site. Conduct EHS related inspections, audits, checklist reviews and any trainings specified in the Integrated Management System (IMS); ISO 14001/45001 which may include but are not limited to weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly plant inspections to include fire safety of hazardous waste, emergency/exit lights, emergency eyewash and shower stations for hazardous waste and radiation exposure, spill kits, radiation waste labeling and first aid kits for hazardous waste/radiation burns. Recommend changes in the work environment based on established EHS data, observed trends and EHS best practices. \xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0 EDUCATIONAL AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: MS in Environmental Technology Management or related field. 3 years of experience and the following certifications are required: \xc2\xa0
