The Senior Estimator will support and work with preconstruction/BD staff in the review of project plans, requirements and specifications, and may organize a team of estimators to perform pricing, and bidding of projects.APPLY NOW FOR 24 HOUR CONSIDERATIONThe key responsibilities of the Senior Estimator (Detroit, MI) are to:

• Work with the client from the start of each project to ensure you understand the project scope and vision
• Prepare full general conditions estimates and analysis
• Prepare construction cost estimates with quantity take-offs and unit pricing
• Prepare scope documents per trade and include scope and project specific information
• Oversee the beginning of each turn-key project, including details like permit submission and design evaluations
• Reviews project proposal, drawings and plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
• Collaborate with the architect and construction crew to ensure feasibility of each project
• Conduct meetings on-site with architect, client and construction crew
• Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare and submit project estimates to clients

• 7+ years of estimating experience
• Bachelor\'s degree in construction management or related area of study preferred
• Significant and diverse project experience with a commercial focus
• Ability to run projects from conception to completion
• Experience estimating projects up to $10 million
• Effective Communication Skills
• Working knowledge of commercial construction technology and details
• Strong Personal Drive to take on several challenges and grow professionally
