POSITION SUMMARY

Title \xe2\x80\x93 Senior Federal Proposal Coordinator
Reports to \xe2\x80\x93 Communications Manager
Location \xe2\x80\x93 Remote or Saint Paul, MN
Pay Range and Basis of Pay \xe2\x80\x93 Full-Time Salary paid Bi-Weekly (exempt); $75,000 to $85,000
The estimated base pay range for this position may vary depending on location, qualifications, and experience.

HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS BAY WEST CLIENTS

  • Work closely with the Communications Manager and Federal Project Managers by directing and/or participating in all aspects of proposal preparation, including team organization, development, and collection of data (project descriptions, resumes), technical writing, graphics, document editing, content review, and final document production
  • Focus largely on coordinating and assisting with writing large, complex Federal proposals including those for the USACE, Air Force, Navy, and more
  • Prepare proposals elements ahead of RFP release by analyzing and anticipating requirements based on draft documents and previous submittals
  • Digest large and complicated RFP documentation and turn it into actionable plans for the tracking of tasks
  • Collaborate with internal and external team members to drive the proposal process.
  • Respond to team member requests for data and content
  • Support opportunity tracking and the monitoring of web resources
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Communications (e.g., English, Writing, Marketing, Mass Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, etc.), or Science (e.g., Biology, Geology, Chemistry, etc.)
  • 10+ years of professional experience working on proposals with specific experience in Federal proposals
  • Familiarity with standard proposal processes such as the Shipley method
  • Strong organizational, writing/researching/editing, and time management skills to coordinate multiple proposals/tasks with differing deadlines
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills, including proficiency with grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style guides
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to listen well and quickly solicit information from technical staff
  • Positive attitude under pressure and openness to continuously learn
  • Experience with MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Some experience with graphics development using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
