job summary:
Senior Financial & SOX Analyst

One of the DC area\'s most revered companies seeks to add an accounting and finance professional to one of their portfolio companies. This person will specialize in providing analysis to financial reporting and SOX compliance programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and attention to detail, operating as our backstop against fraud (internal and external) and human error. They must possess an ability to communicate with team members across all levels of the organization, and most importantly, they must be creative in nature, helping implement & improve processes that can be scalable as the organization continues to grow.

responsibilities:
The role will have the unique position to lead the SOX compliance program while having an impact on month-end accounting and financial reporting for a growing public company. Skill in manipulating data using Microsoft Excel is required.

qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting (BA in Accounting or BSBA with concentration in Accounting)
• 4+ years of relevant work experience (Audit and/or SOX exp)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office products
