Job Description

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, the Senior IT Network Engineer is responsible for providing support for our corporate network environment. Aligned with the global IT network team, this individual will provide expertise and initiative for the implementation and support of all IT networks in Nokian Tyres globally.Responsibilities

• Work closely and in collaboration with factory Automation and Business teams
• Work as a senior member of the global IT network team
• Support the goal to have globally harmonized IT solutions
• Run, plan, deploy and maintain all networking while ensuring alignment with global standards and strategy
• Provide diagnostic support in all manufacturing related IT problems
• Ensure proper network operation across our warehouses in North America
• Provide support for the global network team when needed
• Ensure proper network operation in the Dayton TN factory
• Uphold Nokian mission and values, and demonstrate supporting behaviors in day-to-day actions
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering or other related field preferred and/or equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position
• 5+ years of experience as a network architect; able to work independently in complicated networking topics preferred.
• Proven experience being primary network responsible to the manufacturing group while providing support, consultation and handling support requests
• Demonstratable knowledge of the IT and OT relationship and the ability to handle this important topic
• Experienced with the complex connectivity requirements needed to support manufacturing applications such as: ERP, MES, Quality and databases
• Deep L2/L3 hands-on experience with design, support, troubleshooting of LAN, WLAN, firewalls and general network security
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Periodic travel within North America, Finland or other international locations
• Commitment to excellence, high standards and ethical business conduct; continuous improvement mindset
• Proficient with MS-Office application suite
• Knowledge in supporting a large server environment
• Knowledge of server virtualization and related network specifics for proper operation
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder).
