Senior Leather & Silver Art Worker

Buckaroo Businesses LLC operating out of Billings, MT, has an opening for 1 Senior Leather & Silver Art Worker. Duties include the following: Construct, decorate or repair leather products and silver bits, spurs, conchos and buckle sets to customers specifications. Measure customers, read specifications, examine sketches, samples, or photographs for fit. Match the type of leather gear or silver hardware to be made, recommending details such as colors, design, lettering or patterns to be tooled or engraved. Sketch, draw and design patterns and trace patterns onto leather or silver to be cut out. Cut out parts, following patterns or outlines, using knives, scissors, clicker die press or saws. Tool or engrave onto flat or curved surfaces, using hand tools or hand-held power tools. Dye, polish, paint, stitch, stain, buff material to obtain desired effects, decorations, or shapes. Inspect work for quality, depth, uniformity, and defects. Cut, insert, align, glue, nail, stitch, or solder hardware, paddings, cushioning, or linings together. Drill or punch holes and insert or attach metal rings, handles, and fastening hardware. Repair silver bits and spurs by soldering the manufactured silver pieces into or onto the gear to repair. Repair and recondition leather products such as, saddles, belts, purses and much more. Repair or replace leather pieces, using sewing, buffing and other machines, materials, and equipment.

Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have valid driver s license, High school diploma or equivalent, and 4 years experience with job duties.
