SENIOR MANAGER, CLIENT ANALYTICS

CONTEXT

The Korn Ferry Institute (KFI) provides innovative thought leadership, research, data and expertise to support our clients and Korn Ferry lines of business (Advisory, Digital, Search).

Established in 2008, the KFI is an innovation center focused on illuminating key trends and drivers of human and organizational performance. We develop and infuse robust scientific research, cutting-edge intellectual property, and state-of-the-art analytics into Korn Ferry Solutions.

Korn Ferry Institute:

Within the KFI, the Client Analytics team is focused on delivering deep insights to clients, working collaboratively with our colleagues across the business in the areas of individual, team, and organizational performance.

OVERVIEW

The purpose of this role, within the Client Analytics team, is to help scope, shape, and deliver compelling analytics projects to our clients. The role has a strong focus at both the pre-sale/start of projects, working with client teams and clients to understand the business issues and helping to shape those into hypotheses and solutions that will be tested, and in the latter stages of projects where we take the analysis results and create a compelling storyline to relate the data and analysis results back to the client issues.

The job holder will have a strong background in Data Science, statistical analysis, and an aptitude for creative thinking and problem-solving. Whilst the focus of this role is primarily on the scoping/hypothesis/interpretation/storytelling, the job holder will be capable of running complex analyses when necessary.

Success in the role will require developing a deep understanding of client issues, working collaboratively with our advisory teams and Data Scientists, defining the right questions to ask, identifying the right data and analytic methods to answer the questions, and translating complex data into elegant, powerful stories that resonate with clients. The job holder should have a strong passion and focus on showing how our data can identify the differentiators of individual and organizational performance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Scoping & Solution Architecting: Be the bridge between the client teams and the analytics team to clarify needs and scope, price, and design work appropriately.
  • Analytics Project Leadership: Oversee and/or perform the analytics work from the beginning of the analytics workstream to delivering the final analytics report/presentation to the client.
  • Storytelling Mindset: Extract and elevate the \xe2\x80\x9cso-what,\xe2\x80\x9d insights, and actionable recommendations from all the numbers by closely understanding the client business needs and integrating knowledge from subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Analytics/Intellectual Property (IP) Enabler: Answer questions from the business about analytics best practices, often by synthesizing complex information from different SMEs into a consumable answer, if an answer is not readily available.
  • Knowledge Management: co-own the Analytics Best Practices Wiki with an IP colleague, and continuously add content as new questions from the business emerge.
  • Always strive to connect our analytics work to the key drivers of client organization performance.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • As needed, run analyses using R, PowerBI, SPSS, and/or Excel. Analyses often include comparing client results to appropriate norms and benchmarks using z-scores, percentiles, conversions, regressions, significance testing, effect sizes, etc.
  • Create visual outputs such as charts, graphs, and other data visualizations to communicate results that go beyond data and statistics to business insights.
  • Check reports to ensure accuracy, tracing errors back to identify the source of discrepancies.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduate degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Social Science, Business, Math/Statistics, or Data Science/Analytics including graduate level statistics, psychometrics, and/or measurement (PhD preferred; experienced candidates with a master\'s will be considered)
  • 5 - 6 years\' experience in data mining and manipulation, analyzing data, and producing reports
  • 3+ years internal or external consulting experience
  • PowerBI experience with at least basic data visualization skills
  • Basic R skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint
  • Track record in conducting predictive outcomes research/longitudinal outcomes analysis
Salary Range

$110,000.00 - $135,000.00

Salary range represents the compensation Korn Ferry expects to pay to a candidate with the minimum requirements for the job posted. Korn Ferry offers competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.
