Senior Manager, Global Communications - Marketplace

As a key counselor to the Walmart U.S. Marketplace business, you will develop and execute a communications strategy supporting the growth of one of the fastest growing eCommerce platforms in the world. This position will also help drive excitement and awareness of new and innovative services with key stakeholders, and current and future marketplace sellers. Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Global Communications - Marketplace, is a strategic communications professional with experience in a variety of communication disciplines, and a strong desire for proactive storytelling. This position will shape and execute the long-term strategy supporting the growth of our Walmart U.S. Marketplace business- ensuring the right messages reach the right audiences, including current and future marketplace sellers. This person should have experience in the communications landscape, including internal, external, executive, social and crisis communications. The job is not only responsible for national storytelling and advising senior leaders, but driving engagement and brand building through social media, supporting Marketplace\'s annual seller summit, partnering with marketing and business development teams to inspire current and future sellers internationally, and deepening awareness of Marketplace, notably its fulfillment offering and other services. This individual is skilled in both strategy and execution, and will join a highly valued team that is helping thousands of independent sellers of all sizes grow with Walmart. Marketplace experience isn\'t required, but candidates should have enough understanding of eCommerce operations to speak fluently and collaborate with business partners.

You\'ll make an impact by:

• Developing and executing strategic communications plans for our Walmart U.S. Marketplace, business, with a focus on our evolving fulfillment services and other solutions.
• Creating awareness and excitement through proactive, strategic and creative communications across earned media, external events, thought leadership and social.
• Working with senior business leaders across different stakeholder groups to maximize Global Communication\'s impact to achieve business objectives.
• Advising and collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders to enable efficient, seamless execution of communication campaigns.

• You have direct experience with eCommerce communications, specifically Marketplace communications.
• You understand not just how to communicate in a complex structure - but also how to partner with others to maximize and amply our efforts broadly.
• You\'re confident using data as a key component of various strategies such as targeting and measurement.
• You can take initiative, manage competing priorities, weigh and mitigate risks, and pivot as required depending on the situation.
• You\'ve managed the launch of new products or services, including the development of national and local campaigns
• You\'re energized by new ideas, testing new approaches and pushing for constant improvement.
• You\'re confident using data as a key component of various strategies such as targeting and measurement.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 4 years\' experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area OR 6 years\' experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area. 1 year\'s supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
