Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Marketing (My Epic Gear) will drive the launch of a new business, transforming the way guests access gear when they ski or ride. This position will leverage data to develop and optimize strategies and assist in creating a sustainable roadmap for growth of the My Epic Gear business. This position will utilize guest insights, channel and sales information, to develop and execute data-driven marketing strategies and go-to-market plans to achieve revenue goals. This position will be responsible for driving My Epic Gear revenue growth goals, collaborating with cross functional business partners to execute strategies and tactics across marketing for growth, and managing marketing spend budget and forecasting for My Epic Gear.

  • The budgeted range starts at $89,100.00 - $120,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities include leveraging data to support the FY24 pilot, FY25 full scale launch, and creation of a sustainable business model, understanding the role each sales channel is playing and how to optimize across channels to drive advance purchase commitment
  • Leverage consumer insights from robust data sets and guest research to inform My Epic Gear program and communications strategy
  • Drive and report on My Epic Gear KPI\'s in season and effectively translate long-term business/company vision and objectives into an actionable roadmap for marketing. KPI\'s include but are not limited to: My Epic Gear revenue, Pass holder capture and guest mix, frequency of membership usage, guest experience scores, and My Epic Gear retention rates
  • Provide thoughtful analysis of marketing effectiveness in achieving marketing objectives and business-driving efforts through data-driven results and optimization
  • Analyze media performance and understand the full My Epic Gear guest journey to optimize future go-to-market campaigns
  • Develop business cases for My Epic Gear initiatives surrounding our Epic pass holders and My Epic Gear value propositions, leading these initiatives through the approval process cross functionally
  • Partner with Subscription Analytics partners to centralize best practices and insights for My Epic Gear, sharing them across the resort portfolio and within the marketing to optimize ROI
  • Partnering with creative teams on content capture and creative development for My Epic Gear
  • Work and manage relationships with key stakeholders, channel owners, agency partners, sponsors, operational contributors, and financial counterparts to support ongoing initiatives
  • Lead My Epic Gear test and learn strategy for go-to-market testing and website testing
  • Collaborate with the Operations, Brand Strategy, Digital, channel analytics, and Subscription analytics teams on reporting and optimization of My Epic Gear\'s marketing plan, utilizing supporting data on sales analytics, media results, etc.
  • Oversee day-to-day budget management for My Epic Gear marketing and complete accurate monthly forecasting
  • Contribute to and support the efforts of the Senior Director and other members of Vail Resorts Retail Marketing team, as needed
Job Requirements

Required:
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field, MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • A minimum of 6 years of marketing strategy and execution experience
  • Experience managing and being accountable to a budget and revenue results
  • Ability to think conceptually and strategically across various guest communication channels and touch points
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional resources to deliver support required to drive the business
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data from a variety of systems to create a point of view that can influence and drive the business
  • Ability to synthesize different data sets into key actionable insights and drive alignment with senior leadership through proficient storytelling
  • Experience working with creative and media agencies to bring marketing campaigns to life
  • Proven track record of owning and delivering against results and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve
Preferred:
  • Experience driving growth for a subscription-based business model
  • Experience in a resort, travel or retail environment
  • Experience in driving results in a remote team environment
  • Proficient in managing cross-functional stakeholders
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $89,100.00 - $120,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
