Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee.
This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the AMEA.
DEPARTMENT: Anchorage Health Department
HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
LOCATION: 825 L St. Anchorage
Example of Duties
Assists the Community Health Nursing program with coordination of meetings, activities, special events, and projects. Collect, furnish, exchange, or interpret complex and sensitive information. Monitor assignment timelines including projects, responses to requests for information, and complaints. Conduct research, compile and present information to supervisor and program manager. Responds timely to requests as appropriate from community partners, outreach workers and colleagues within the division. Assist with communication with the public regarding incoming requests. Manages incoming phone calls and electronic files as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and two (2) years of experience in office clerical work.
OR
Associate\'s degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Information Systems or similar discipline and experience in office clerical work.
Ability to type at a net speed of 35 WPM. Note: The documentation or certification must contain the applicant\'s name and be current within the past one (1) year.
