job summary:
A Senior Process Engineer is needed for a chemical processing organization outside of Hesperia, California. The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing operation, and then designing the process to produce large-scale quantities of specialty chemicals utilized in high-end technologies.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, with a preference for Chemical Engineering, and possesses over 10 years of distinguished experience in Process Engineering within petrochemical, refining, or related industrial domains. Demonstrating proven mastery in process optimization, simulation, and design, the candidate showcases proficiency in utilizing ASPEN process simulation software. This opportunity carries relocation assistance, bonus potential, and potential stock incentive.

responsibilities:

• Lead industrial process optimization and design, overseeing the full lifecycle from inception to certification, in collaboration with cross-functional teams

• Utilize ASPEN process simulation software to develop and refine process models, incorporating real equilibrium and solubility data to enhance efficiency

• Apply simulation results to improve process efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and streamline production workflows

• Contribute to the development of design-of-experiments for lab, pilot plant, or full-scale production to gather essential optimization data

• Analyze experimental data to derive insights, informing the design of commercial-scale production facilities

• Define campaign parameters, establish comprehensive standard operating procedures, and present concise reports to senior management, driving data-driven decision-making

• Drive the implementation of best practices and innovative solutions, establishing clear pathways to achieve company goals for output, quality, and cost-effectiveness
