OverviewHarperAudio is looking to hire a Senior Producer! Were a nimble, dynamic team that oversees the production of all of HarperCollins US and Harlequin US audiobooks. Spanning a wide range of genres, you get to work with best-selling authors and help launch new careers.A little about you: You love the spoken word both as a creative and as a listener. For you, theres no greater rush than assembling the perfect team for a project. Youre detailed oriented, an excellent communicator, and great at managing competing deadlines. You get excited about pushing the audiobook format forward.The job: You will be responsible for the production of approximately 250 titles a year. Your title list will be a mix of Trade fiction and non-fiction. You get to work on single voice narration, multicast productions, author narrations, and more. You will manage relationships with various outside producers and work closely with the print publishing teams.Responsibilities

• Hires and manages all production resources and outside contractors. Depending on the project this can include narrators, producers, directors, studios, etc.
• Develops casting lists for assigned titles and works with the other producers to expand our talent pool.
• Ensures that the audiobook production runs on schedule and within budget, troubleshooting any problems that may arise and working closely with the in-house production team to create solutions.
• Ensures all audiobook programs maintain a high level of production quality.
• Cultivates relationships with editors and authors.
• Manages other misc. aspects of production.
• Directs select titles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in narrative audio production, direct experience in audiobooks is a plus
• Experience in people management
• Ability to set priorities and problem solve under pressure
• Is a self-starter and strong team member
• Must be extremely detail-oriented and well-organized, with strong project management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, skilled at Excel
• Conversational, or fluent, in Spanish is a plus
